Celebrate Valentine's Day with this coordinating Valentine Cross stitch set that includes TWO patterns -- "Cupid" and "XOXO"!

These cross stitch patterns use the same simple color palette that includes shades of pink and green. The centerpieces on both patterns are surrounded by coordinating floral embellishments. In "Cupid," our favorite little cherub is shooting his heart shaped arrow. In "XOXO," I substituted a rosebud-embellished heart for the O to give the pattern a little extra Valentine love. PATTERN DETAILS: You asked, I listened! These designs suggest only DMC threads. They are both stitched entirely with whole stitches. Our "Cupid" model was stitched over 2 on 28ct Lambswool Linen using 2 ply thread. The stitch count for "Cupid" is 70w x 80h, which makes the finished design size approximately 4 5/8"w x 5 5/8"h when stitched on 14ct or equivalent.

The "XOXO" Model was stitched over 2 on 28ct Flax Linen using 2 ply thread. The stitch count for "XOXO" is 67w x 58h, which makes the finished design size approximately 4 5/8"w x 4"h when stitched on 14ct or equivalent.

#Starrynightsstudio did the beautiful model finishing for both of these models. Starry Nights Studio also stitched XOXO in red and white and mounted it on this little red bucket. Isn't that the cutest!?

I've said it often; sometimes being a designer is a curse and a blessing. It can often be really difficult for me to pick just *one* way to stitch a design. Ultimately, my love for all things pink won out when I was picking threads for this one, but if you'd like a few other ideas--here are two other color combinations that I also considered:

Allll tradition with red, white, and pink. I think this color palette would be fun to stitch on black! But... I am a sucker for pink, white and gray too. Truthfully, this is probably my favorite color combination of all time. (You can probably tell from the Cherry Hill Stitchery Logo!)
