HOME OF THE BRAVE - PAPER PATTERN

Stitching up some red, white, and blue for 2022!

This paper pattern features hearts, stars, flowers, and flags. The text reads, "The Home of the Brave."

It is stitched with shades of red, cream, blue, yellow, green, and black.

PATTERN DETAILS:

The model was stitched on 32 ct. Vintage Smokey White Belfast linen (Zweigart). The stitch count is 83w x 50h and the finished design measures approximately 5"w x 3 1/8"h when stitched on that fabric. The pattern calls for whole stitches only (whole stitches = beginner friendly and Aida friendly!). The model was stitched with DMC threads. The pattern includes both a black/white symbol page as well as a color page, so you can choose to stitch from the format that works best for you. WHERE TO BUY: Shops can purchase this pattern wholesale from Dinky Dyes. If your favorite stitchy shop does not have it in stock, let them know if you'd like them to order a copy in for you!

RECREATE THE LOOK:

Finish Fabric: The model was finished with Navy Scattered Dot Basics from Kimberbell. The SKU is #MAS8210-N. I also used some red and white striped fabric from my stash. The striped fabric is a little older, so I don't have a SKU for that one.

Cording: I used jute rope from my stash. All craft stores carry something similar. It is usually found in the floral aisle, wedding aisle, or near the ribbon.

Bow: I used a 1.5" wire-edged Royal Burlap beige ribbon from Shop 5th Street. The SKU is 127872. I also used a 3/8" red and ivory gingham ribbon for the stacked bow. The gingham ribbon is from The Ribbon Boutique (Hobby Lobby) and the SKU is 979997. The button in the centerpiece is a size 30 (3/4") covered button from Dritz. I used a scrap of the same Navy Scattered Dot fabric mentioned above to cover the button.

The materials listed above are unique to this piece. The foundational supplies (the board, glue, batting, etc--stuff you can't see) are the same no matter what I am finishing, so I bu`y those in bulk and keep them on hand. You can see what those materials are on the Tools and Organization page.

One more time, here it is. Hope you enjoy!
