PATTERN TIP:
I used a black and white color palette to play up the farmhouse trend, but you could just as easily swap the floss suggestion out with any color of floss that strikes your fancy. I suggest you use overdyed or variegated thread to give the monochromatic color scheme a little extra visual interest. If you use the suggested variegated floss and stitch the direction of the faux wood grain on the suggested fabric, it gives the effect of a weathered painted sign. You will need 2 skeins of thread if you use the suggested materials.
