Christmas in July has arrived with these snowy gingerbread friends! Baked with Love is the latest design to join the Cherry Hill Stitchery gingerbread menagerie.
PATTERN DETAILS:
The model was stitched using shades of green, red, brown, white, and black on 32ct linen. The pattern calls for whole stitches only and calls for DMC floss. It also calls for one skein of Weeks Dye Works to provide the perfect Christmas red. The stitch count is 93w x 56h, which stitches up to be about 5 7/8"w x 3 1/4"h on that fabric.
RECREATE THE LOOK:
Finish Fabric: Blossom by Christopher Thompson for Riley Blake, SKU C715. I believe it is Barn Red, but the exact shade was not listed on the section of selvage I had.
Cording: I spun the cording with my Kreinik custom corder and DMC B5200. To get the thickness, I used 7 lengths of the full 6-ply DMC floss. Bow: The white ribbon is a 1.5" wire-edge ribbon from 5th Street Studio on Etsy. The green ribbon is a 3/8" grosgrain ribbon from Hobby Lobby. The SKU is 178228. The covered button is size 36 (7/8") from Dritz. I covered it with the same red fabric used to make the flat.
The materials listed above are unique to this piece. The foundational supplies (the board, glue, batting, etc--stuff you can't see) are the same no matter what I am finishing, so I buy those in bulk and keep them on hand. You can see what those materials are on the Tools and Organization page.
One more time, here is how it all looks together --
Happy Stitching!
