  • SPRING - .PDF

Spring the season of soft colors, and this quick-to-stitch design features classic pastel favorites. This .PDF pattern features flowers, a birdhouse, hearts, and butterflies in flight. Pastel pinks, greens, cream, and shades of brown make up the palette. The text says "Spring," and a tulip replaces the letter I. PATTERN DETAILS: The model was stitched on 32 ct. Antique White lugana (Zweigart). The stitch count is 100w x 44h, and the finished design measures approximately 6 1/8"w x 2 3/4"h when stitched on that fabric. The pattern calls for whole stitches only. (Whole stitches = beginner friendly and Aida friendly!) The model was stitched with DMC and Weeks Dye Works floss, and a DMC equivalent is provided for the specialty fibers. The pattern includes both a black/white symbol page as well as a color page, so you can choose to stitch from the format that works best for you. TIP: The soft shades on this design will blend with beige fabric, so I recommend using white fabric if you are planning on using the called-for colors. WHERE TO BUY: This design is available in the Cherry Hill Stitchery Etsy Shop (Be sure to bookmark the page! It is www.etsy.com/shop/cherryhillstitchery) It is also available from the shops that have a .PDF resale agreement. The complete list can be found here. RECREATE THE LOOK: Finish Fabric: The green check is French Chateau Gingham in Grass by Renee Nanneman for Andover Fabric. The SKU is A- 9092-G1. Cording: The cording I used as trim is 5mm jute rope off of a bulk spool. The particular spool I purchased is no longer available, but most craft stores have something similar. The 5mm size is my favorite. Bow: The burlap bow is made from a 2" wire-edged natural burlap ribbon (Hobby Lobby), SKU 809780. The pink ribbon in the bow is made from a double-sided 1.5" satin ribbon from Offray. The spool I have does not have a SKU, but it came from ribbon aisle at Walmart. The button in the centerpiece is a 3/4" green button from my stash. The materials listed above are unique to this piece. The foundational supplies (the board, glue, batting, etc.--stuff you can't see) are the same no matter what I am finishing, so I buy those in bulk and keep them on hand. You can see what those materials are on the Tools and Organization page.

  • SLEIGH BELLS RING - .PDF

Tis the season for Sleigh Bells! Growing up, there was never a Christmas without bells. My grandpa used to come to our house late on Christmas Eve, armed with his own personal set of sleigh bells. Hiding in the shadows, he would jingle his way around the house and the yard, sending all the kids scurrying to their beds. I think my parents had the entire cul-de-sac in on the shenanigans; sometimes the bells would circle a few extra houses up and down the street for good measure. "Santa" would disappear if we looked outside, so we never dared peek. It was pure Christmas magic. My grandpa is gone now, but these bells were made for him :). This design is called Sleigh Bells Ring. It comes as a .PDF pattern and features snowy boughs with ornaments along with a horse pulling a sleigh through the snow. The text reads "Sleigh Bells Ring." Bow: The red ribbon is from www.shop5thstreet.com. It is a 1.5" wire-edge royal burlap ribbon and the item number is RG127805. The smaller white bow is made from a 3/8" grosgrain ribbon from Offray. I can tell you the green originally came from Hobby Lobby as a seasonal print.
